The pop superstar just released her new single “Never Really Over,” which is the electro-pop jam that’s been missing from 2019. The lovesick singer presents a tongue-twisting chorus that sticks in your head and demands you sing along…or at least attempt to. Sure, the words may blend together and become indistinguishable from one another at times, but the hook works perfectly with the rapid-fire beat to create what could be the true hit Perry could use right now.

The single’s image evokes summer, which is perfect, because the singer has been known to churn out massive cuts that dominate the season, and she’s clearly looking to do so once again.
